thanks for the reply

I have learned more on this web site than all the others coombined but I don't always get replies to all of my posts. Maybe it is because I am new. With the plates I have comming I wanted to use one large cell at least at first. I found another place (Lowes actually) that ordered me sheets of plexy glass thick enough to cut and make spacers and still be strong enough to hold up to the pressure. Once I get the flame the next step is to deal with the heat transfer. Efficiency will be one of the last things I deal with, right now I just want to get it to work. You mentioned a link about someone else diluting the hydrogen mix with regular air but I could not find it. I would be most interested in reading what others have tried if you could get me a link or something that would be great. Once I get all my parts in and layed out I will try to post the whole project under the projects link in an attempt to get more advice on my new hobby.

box desigh

Postby mmhightech » Mon Jul 10, 2006 4:17 pm

I am leaning toward an open box desigh. The way I understand it I will use the 2 mm gap on all 88 plates (5X5) and only fill the water until just under submerging the tops of the cells and hook one at + and the other at -. What is your thinking on this.

You mentioned about needing more than a battery charger. Any sugestions. I own a computer store but everything in my shop is 12volts or less. I read about people running strait 110. Seems a little risky but I guess I can try it. Don't I have to convert it to dc firs though?
