Sorry, but about half of that is incredibly ignorant, IMO. The Saudis are not trying to "kill [you], [your] family, and [your] friends", the far, far greater percentage of the Middle East isn't trying to kill anyone in the US, or anyone in the world. Certain rebel, extremist, and terrorist groups, however, are, but they do not represent entire countries and all of their citizens, and the equally radical and extremist American groups (now a minority) believe. Do more people around the world hate the US now? I think yes, and it's entirely the US's fault, with its blind hate and discrimination of all Middle Eastern people, or anyone with what they believe to be a Middle-Eastern last name, or appearance. They can't expect their actions and position of "ok, a small group of Middle-Eastern extremists attacked America, so let's start hating every person who looks like that, or is from around there, and considering everyone who isn't completely with us to be traitors, more terrorists, or complete -bleep-" to be returned as nothing but praise. Grow up. Did the Saudis have a good reason for boycotting US goods? Yes, probably. If someone is indiscriminatly insulting, stereotyping and generally hating you, without being provoked, I think anyone wouldn't want to do business with them. If the US recieved the same kind of treatment from other countries, they'd put an outright trade ban (embargoes) on any and every country involved, indefinetly. They boycotted French products for a while after France refused to go to war with them, going as far as renaming French Toast and French Fries (anyone remember that Freedom Fries fiasco?).
The US has its fair share of extremists as well, don't forget. Among the notables include the KKK, those "God [according to the way I read the Bible) hates you-and-you, so I do too, for no good reason" guys, the general anti-Middle-Eastern group, and the Bushites, who follow their president in everything, reacting wildly to his every word.
They (America) can't act as if this came from the blue, and they've done nothing to provoke something like this, I honestly expected this, and it won't stop here if the US doesn't. Too bad they can't seem to remeber back to when they gave some of those countries those weapons they're invading to get, or the money they gave them to fight each other, or what they've done (even lately) to provoke them. Puh-leaze...
