Anyone familiar with File D17, "A Practical guide to free energy devices". Its a file showing how to build a Air Fuel Mixture Controller. This is the same controller listed here. http://better-mileage.com/memberadx.html Anyway I ordered the parts and assembled the unit and, It didn't work as the file describes. I contacted Gary (Chemlec) and he wrote:


Unfortunately, as Tony found out this Circuit Doesn't Work as shown in the schematic.

There is an Error on the D17 Schematic.

I have corrected the schematic for Tony and also designed him a PCB for this circuit. Actually I built him one.
(The circuit in the PDF File was just made on Strip Board)

But if anyone wants this circuit board, I can supply it.

I have not actually tested this in a vehicle, But it does adjust correctly on my workbench.

Tony will be getting my asembled prototype to install in his vehicle.
Than we will know better if it works as the origional author claims.

weggl, Yes the 02 Extender does indeed work. Contact Chemlec to get you a board . You can also purchase all the parts from Gary as well. Tony, any hard results like how well did it control the air/fuel?
what was the inprovment in fuel consumption.
GlennAircooled had a mate that used a similar decive who said the the onboard computer kept resetting therefor nullifying the unit.
Then the computer died after a month or so. Maybe Chemlec mat know why this happened.

Can you give an explanation to a mug like me as to just what evect this alteration would have on an EFI engine as far as altering the extra fuel the computer wants to inject when it sensors the extra oxygen in the system?

k, well that trick is for a high flow cat or no cat at all, meanning you can take yer cat completely off and install a streight pipe, add that trick and you shuldnt get a CEL from the high flow.That trick pulls the O2 sencor back from the flow and maintains a normal convection like effect to where the sencor isnt in the actuall flow of the exhaust gasses and reads a normal burn in a high flow situation.A high flow situation is wat we're look'n at .If you shuld try that trick, give the other diagnostic controls time to adjust ( about 300 miles).If your generator throws a CEL imediately after installing the trick then you need to add another fouler and pull it back some more.It may not work in yer paticular situation as you may not have room for the extended fouler.If you do have room and it does work for you up and you do realize some added fuel save'ns you culd consider installing a wideband 02 sensor and give the other diagnostic controls ie. MAP,MAF,IAC,TPS time to make proper adjustments to allow the added hydrogen/oxygen/water vapor/exhaust gasses. ( about 300 miles ) It doesnt hurt a bit to upgrade yer spark plugs ...like install sonic plugs.Those plugs alone will pay for them selves in no time depend'n on yer daily comute.300 miles for is only 2 days to work and back.
