The video crashes my Windows Media Player 9 program every time I try to play it. Will have to try a different PC with a different OS I guess.

Bob,

Maybe this will work better for you.

Thank you Coffey, but that is the file I downloaded to play. I have dialup here so I cannot play videos online, have to download to play local from HDD. I downloaded it 3 times to make sure the file was not corrupt, crashed my computer all 3 times when I tried to play it on the Win98SE box I normally use here. I transfered the file to my XP Pro box, and it plays ok on that.

I refuse to have any box running XP connected to the internet. XP is just too damned chatty with MicroShit for my liking. I like to be aware of what my OS is doing behind my back when I'm online. When I poll the XP box for connections because of visible activity, it lies to me and refuses to reveal connections that I can obviously see are in progress from the other resources on my network, then it is not to be trusted as far as I am concerned. Just the fact that it expired my product key, and refused to operate, until I called MicroShit for a new number to punch in, just because I pulled the network cable when it lied to me about active connections, was enough to give MicroShit no more access to that box.

Back to the video...

From close examination of the video, it is 4 parallel sets of 3 series cells, with the wiring arranged so that all of the cell fields are aligned, although with the high spacing between cells, the individual cell fields are too far apart to reinforce each other a whole lot. So unless they are running that thing at 6 volts or less, which I doubt, it's gonna make some heat.

Hi Bob,
thank you for looking at the video. I feel to heat will be a problem. They are good on the hype and not so good on the data except for MPG increase. I am getting emails through them vis a third party and upset them a little when I said it could be just air being pumped in.
My question to you Bob is visulually how does the gas volume compare to say your 6o cell unit or welder.
Below is a nemail they replied to via a third party.
I am a firm believer in your design Bob and my bits nd pieces are starting to arrive. Will keep you up dated.
Kind Regards
Mark

Email response
The wires, if you look closely, are electrical connections connected to jumper cables.

We will have another video out soon with improvements over this one where the wiring is improved.
This one of course was a test on wire schematics which worked very well but since has been improved.

This will not ever fuel a vehicle on its own. The amount of energy created, while substantial, is still
insufficient to replace gas on a one to one basis. Hydrogen is still far less efficient than gas but it does
assist gas in burning more efficiently.

Mileage tests have brought us varying responses from a low of 25% in very heavy traffic to near 100% on unobstructed
freeway driving. The vehicle tested was a 2001 Ford Sport Trac with normal mileage ranging from 12 - 16.
New range is 17 - 31.

Our next prototype is being completed this morning and will be installed early this afternoon. Mileage tests
will being then. If this meets with our expectations this unit will be the first to be offered for sale.

The issue of our email bouncing is disturbing. We receive a large volume of emails each day now and have no
problem. Please check your email address. The email is info@gethydropower.com

It's hard to tell exactly but it looks to be about 1.5 to 2 LPM per unit based on the bubble size and frequency, for total of 3 to 4 LPM for the pair. Because of the much larger electrolyte volume, it will take longer to heat, and the additional outside surface will cool more. So they can get away with a little higher voltage for a given amount of water vapor production, however, that will not improve efficiency. The built-in bubbler is a poor design choice. As the plastic ages, it will get more brittle, and the pressure from a flashback has more chance of fracturing the plastic instead of blowing out the safety popoff.

All in all though, they do have a fairly nice unit there. Putting more cells in series can allow it to be run more efficiently on automotive voltage, and the large volume will give more leeway in refilling. As they say, it will take some space to mount. The price they have listed is way too high, they must be expecting to market to high end customers. That kind of price is more in line with an 80 or 90 cell stack unit, not a 12 or even a 20.

I think space berween plates are around 1/8"(can see when start video),and all cells are separated each from other .

Yea, they appear to be spaced about 1/8" apart, and look to be the same size plates as I use on my boosters and welders. Main difference is they set each pair into the center of a larger cavity between those dividers, so there is more stainless steel cost per cell. By spacing the cells further from one another like that, they lose some of the effect. I have put plexi strips in the slots on top of the plates before in boosters to prevent spillover, it allows higher electrolyte levels.

Sort of Kevin. They have a 13 compartment box with a single flooded cell in each of 12 compartments and a bubbler in the 13th. They wired sets of 3 flooded cells in series, which gave them 4 sets of 3 series wired flooded cells in one box. Then they wired the 4 sets in parallel. It's a cross of parallal wired/series wired single flooded cells. Confused still? ;-)
