Hi. Did anybody try boosting a turbocharged engine with a hydroxy cell? I`ve got only one car and i`m ready to give it a go at today`s price of petrol. It`s a subaru EJ20 turbo engine and it runs on RON98 only.

As for your High Octane Fueled vehicle....I have found that to reduce knock/ping and allow the use of Lower Octane RON (Research Octane Number) fuel, that I would suggest SHORTENING the plug gap of the spark plugs. This effects a LONGER DURATION of SPARK, and COOLER COILS. when the spark gap is widened, the SPARK DURATION is SHORTENED.

anyway, this is my only suggestion for running something 20 cents cheaper in your car.

thanks for that suggestion. I will try that idea. Usually go smaller gap with high boost to deal with the increased pressure.

Hydrogen boost my turbo is on my list of things to do. Let us know how it goes.

I can run on RON 95, but i lose nearly 15% power. I run with Bosch Super4 spark plugs. They are ok in any RON case an in any weather condition. Would the hydroxy boost help compensate for the loss of power when using RON 95?

whatever plugs you get, don't get any platinum ones, it is a catalyst for ignition. can atest to this personally but i have hear a bunch about it

I have to dissagree on the Platinum. The 4's require an upgade in the ignition to HEI or simular high energy systems. The 2's last to extreeme mileage. This is what the new cars with 100,000 mile warantees use. The problem is adjusting the gap. Absolutely, you can't use any metal to measure, clean or adjust the gap. They usually come pre-adjusted (although slightly different than as specified on the box, but consistant with the others of the same type, unless droped). Especialy good where old gas is fouling new standard plugs. You can never clean a regular plug enough, if the old gas is depositing varnish. It just fouls again. Platinum overcomes this problem. I run MSD coils and Platnum 2's. The 4's seem a waste.

I realy want one of those plasma coils.
