12 cell Electrolyzer

Alright im starting to build a 12 cell you may be wondering wtf
But after what has felt like years of testing materials i have finally chosen my electrolyzer materials.

For a start im only going to make a simple and cheap Electrolyzer ,Here is one of the cell's. Mind you this is just the experiment cell so it its not sealed atm it leaks and well that bolt electrode is crap(which will not be part of the design).


But the other material sure does make up for the crap bolt that has been used,The other material is non stick, hydogen just poors off it, spacing is not important and hydrogen is even made on the bakside of the electrodes

As soon as the power is touched on the cell it is a instant reaction, a blur of white instantly goes through the water like a shockwave.

i tried to capture this with the camera but it was to quick,These photos were taken as quick as the camera would take the photos

This is over a period of about 6 secs first photo taken as soon as the the power is connected

Oh forgot mention that i have got electrloysis under 1 volt, roughly about 0.9 volt but im sure i can go a lot lower just need a power supply capable

i had a 3 cell running from a 2.7volt 20mah power supply and producing oxygen and hydrogen, i just need a better powersupply so i can poke a few amps at it and im sure ill get it lower than .9 volt

What are you using for an electrolyte?

Nice work. Looks like your cell is really ripping along nicely.
A couple of questions though - what is "non stick" ?
You sure your voltage was only 0.9 volts? I thought electrolysis wasn't supposed to happen below about 1.4 volts or so ?
Was the 'non-stick' the negative electrode?

The bolt is an interesting concept. I have been pouring over this site like mad in an attempt to catch-up (lol). Hydro uses a ripple look or ZZ look on the High Voltage insulators to give them more surface area in the same space and hight, voltage travels on the outside current with in the object. I wonder about multiple SS course bolts .. fairly cheap etc, as electrodes.
