CRAZY EXPERIENCE:
I've been roughin it in the woods this weekend, but I had a crazy issue last week with my phone. Here is my journal entry:
6/30/2006
My PCS phone freaked out this morning. I would keep spontaneously give me random digits , my volume would keep resetting itself to hight_ vibrate.
The digits it would keep repeating were:
25808080# over and over again
Later, it would also do 369# over and over again.
Here are my thoughts, my keypad is toward the bottom half of my phone. The 2580 digit pattern is the middle row from top to bottom. And the # is at the bottom and then right.
369# is the right row top to bottom.
The volume control is on the left side of the phone towards the top. It is essentially 2 buttons on a rocker. The top button controls the volume increase, and vice versa.
I believe that due to the low battery my phone had, it somehow caused this phenomenon where possibly the polarity of the battery, N and S on the top and bottom of the phone caused the keys to short towards the poles, and the bottom pole was the strongest on the right side.
The top arrow volume button on the right is actually on the same level of the top of the battery. Here is an ascii representation:
Battery volume keypad
Xxxxx UP
Xxxxx
Xxxxx DOWN 123
Xxxxx 456
Xxxxx 789
Xxxxx *0#
xxxxx
end entry:
I read somewhere that the keypad mechanisms, are just capacitors or inductors, i cant remember which. I am trying to figure out if my phone experienced some kind of resonance, due to a low voltage
Bzzz...
