Sorry, But my Previous Evaluatrion was WRONG.
I don't know why that series cell did what it did.

I Just threw together another one (30 Minutes work) and it works fine.

Hey there Gary

Looks like a pretty simple setup to make, nicely done. One note, in the picture, the 2 cells in the center don't seem to be producing near as much as the others towards and at the ends. You may want to check for leakage that is preventing those 2 from working the same as the ones towards the ends.

Hi Gary,looking nice.You can try some silicone to better isolate cells in centre.

Current density of my unis is 0.15A/inch^.
How low I can go down ?: 0.10 , 0.08 or has some limit ?

The two center ones stated slow, but after a few minutes they were all equil. Should have waited before taking the picture.
(Maybe a bit of contamination from my hands)

I'll see about taking another and replacing it.

The way I make these cells with the ABS, they are Definately Sealed, Air Tight.
(Other than the Top, of Coarse)

I also drilled a 1/16 hole near the center of each plate, so when you fill them, eventually they all even out in water level and stay that way.
It does not affect the voltage division.

Revised Picture:

This cell has a Fairly wide spacing of .3 inches between plates.
Active plate area is 4.375 X 1.75 inches

But I can easily make them with spacings down to .05 inch and with any number of plates or size of plates.
Really quite simple and Quick.

Gary, that looks like good proof . What electrolyte are you using.?
Yours looks more even reaction than mine.
Does that mean that you will run some more efficiency tests.?
Please, please.
Compare 5 V across each individual cell ... to 1.7 V across each
(or something like that)

Hi Gary,

Your picture is fine,but you wrote you about holes on plates.I have bad expiriance with holes ( curent leakage).,Maybe The reason for that was my curent is biger than yours .After pluging holes amperage drop dramatically.For my testing 3-5 mm distance between plates is the best.For smaller plates like yours 3mm is good,but for plates over 12" high i am using 5mm distance between plates :wink:
