It is obvious now the best plates are the ones which offer the biggest surface area.
I would say the best would be perforated SS plates.
I'll leave to the mathematicians here the task of calculating which plate thickness, holes size and spacing would offer the most surface.
Also, is aluminum ok ?
From Alaskastar's post, I figured using two heatsinks as electrodes could work good.
I really doubt you would find SS heatsinks (daa), so I imagined this :
take a perf plate, with 2/16 holes, center 5/16.
put a 6/32 x 2in machine screw in each hole, with a 6-32 hex nut to fasten it. There you go ! you have a stainless steel heat sink !
We should try to come up with a standard, most efficient design for everything, so people don't have to experiment again and again..
