Given that pure water does not conduct, obviously impurities are necessary.

In a perfect world we could start with pure water and then add the electrolyte of our choice in order to know what to expect in terms of reactions and products, but for convenience tap water is always going to be available and at hand.

Read that link, Bob. Interesting. You might be right about some impurities affecting the reactions, but I've never heard any mention of going to the trouble of cleaning the tap water, from the likes of Stan Meyer and the others who claimed to run their cars just from water.

Here in the uk our water is fairly good, but my electrolyser still draws around 17 amps from a 12volt car battery, with no additive!

Bob, is there a link to your projects anywhere as I'd be interested to take a look. I take it you use dc pulsing.

Your name cropped up on a website when I was browsing under people who have had cars running just from water. Is this true, or just a rumour?

Stanley Meyer had to tune to the water he used every time he refilled his unit, and he had to clean it out when it gunked up. His technique used HV to introduce the waveform to the water capacitor. That process may be more tolerable to impurities, I don't know. I tried water from many sources, and found a lot of performance variations, with gunking up the unit a common problem. I did not have access to reverse osmosis equiptment before however, so I don't know how well that works. I will try it once I get back to experimenting with a booster. It has to be better than straight tap water though.

I don't know what the issue is that so many have with using distilled water. Have people already forgotten how utterly simple it is to make a water distiller? One that can operate for free from solar energy, or waste engine exhaust heat. Wrap a copper tube around the exhaust manifold or pipe near the engine to use as a boiler, feed water into it with a windshield washer pump, capture/condense the steam in another coil of tubing, and gather the free distilled water in a container. Make distilled water as you drive around on errands or to/from work or shopping. When the boiler tube gunks up, clean it out or replace it.

My experience is from the research I did using my type of equiptment and the resonant reaction that I had discovered. I spent a lot of time and money during that time in an attempt to find what worked well and what did not. All I can do is offer advice based on the results of my research. It's up to all of you to take it and run with it, or not. I am not going to force my results onto anyone.

The link to my project pages is;

I ran mini race boats with hydrogen on demand in the late 80s to early 90s, and progressed to test running a 6 cylinder car with hydrogen on demand. So it is no rumor. My research came to a rapid conclusion, with outside help not of my choosing. The world is not a friendly place for those who dare to go up against big oil and the corrupt politicians that support them. I would say to just ask Stanley Meyer, but you can't, he was killed for trying to prove to the world that there was an alternative. And he was not alone, many others have fallen victim to big oil.

I no longer do research on hydrogen on demand systems, or try to prove anything to the world. I'm happy with just helping get the word out on hydroxy boosters to improve existing mileage, and hydroxy welding gas generators. What you all do with the knowledge or technology is up to you ;-)

Quick test using 30 Volts with tap water

Postby stephano » Wed May 24, 2006 12:27 pm

Hi Guys

I'm shortly going to be getting into this.

After watching the full video of Stanley Meyers demo, which we're told is straight tap water, running at about 100mA, I decided to test this, with a latch-up of junk lying about in my workshop.

Don't laugh, I used a CD Tub, Tap water, 2 pairs of stainless steel tweezers, 1/2" apart, No electrolyte and 30 Volts @200mA

I was quite suprised on the ammount of Hydrogen produced with the puny area of my electrodes? I used a variable PSU which does 0 to 30V with variable current upto 2.5 Amps. #Note: at 12V, not much was happening.

It was mentioned that Meyers was using High Voltage, pulsed in some magic way @ 20kHz. I think the pulsing is relevant, this maybe setting up some sort of cell resonance that enhances the effect, producing more gas?

As soon as time permits I'll have a go at a 'Meyers' like unit, and mess with higher volts at variable frequency, possibly using gated bursts, with some sort of current monitoring feedback, when the optimum efficiency is found, use the feedback to control the cell drive to maintain this optimum?

I like the idea of running the process at low temperature, as in his demo unit. I also wonder if Meyers was using Chemalloy Tubes? as I don't recall it saying what he 'actually' used?

The electronics is fairly simple, it's the mechanical engineering I'm not really geared up for, as I'm only an electronics engineer, but it's worth investigating further.

Just a few thoughts
