Sort of drastic to "disappear" the whole thread?

Why no edit function available as with most forums?

It was'nt me that done that so ya know.Moderaters are not allowed to do that ..alltho they do have the capabilites its against the rules to delete entire threads.
Chris, the owner of this site has rules posted about.
So unless Chris gave permission to a moderator, wich the list of moderators are available to everyone to see, then someone has broken the rules.

" Moderator does not mean you start going and deleting posts and acting like a god. Moderator is much more a servant of the groups than anything else. Please keep that in mind at all times. Don't post information if you're not sure of something. Don't be afraid to say you don't know "

I do not deliberately mean to be disruptive in my posts, but - unlike most - I have problems in simply lying back while people continually post misinfo. I cannot see how the forum can possibly benefit from such nonsense being left unchallenged. What about readers who are trying to learn something, but are unknowingly being completely misled. Someone has to make a stand - I just wish more people would!

Some of the posts are quite simply so irresponsible as to border on criminal!

Maybe I go about it too agressively, but its not simply about rejecting people ideas, there are fundamental right and wrongs that need to be observed. Sometimes it seems that being somewhat 'impolite' is the only way to make my point.

In many cases I simply try to highlight blatant misinfo. I have no problem with theories that go beyond current understanding or people hypothesising, its the ones that blatantly state misinfo and stand by it that frustrate me.

I do find it rather strange that my 'manners' seem far more of a concern to many than the utter nonsense people get away with posting![/i]

One would almost suspect deliberate misinformation at times on some forums....of course my posted misinformation is mostly a result of ignorance rather than intention.

I'm all for defeating ignorance...something like St. George and the Dragon of Stupidity? Dumb butt dragons...what do they know?
