Looking at your page the cell design looks like a Joe cell.
It is a submerged parallel cell which will produce a lot of heat which means a lot of power consumed for the amount of gas produced. Using galvanised pipes creates another problem that being that the cut ends a exposed steel this will cause iron oxide to be released into the system, that is where the red junk is coming from.

as for ss i want to get the bugs worked out of this setup before i spend the cash for ss.
with the setup as-is it improved the mileage of the car from 25 mpg to 31 wich isnt to bad!
The cell you see mounted in the car now was to me somewhat expensive at around 40$ per filter housing, ouch, and the galvanized pipes are real cheap, no more than 2$. so the setup with the pvc is ALOT cheaper
which my wife likes, but all the work im doing is for a unit to improve the mileage in her gas hog.
and im going to build another unit using 304 ss mesh, the kind they use in tanker trucks to reduce slosh in the tank. as soon as i get time ill post the pics of it.
