I do have a question for you on your float system. It appears that the float sits above the cells and the 15 mm of epoxy and appears to be flooded, what prevents short-circuiting the plates since the level needs to be slightly below the top of the plates to prevent completing the circuit?

The top of the plates are insulated from one another by the epoxy, there is 1/4â€

Took Bob’s advice and ran a gas yield test on the cell with water over the top of the epoxy and one with water below the top of cell.

In the test with water below the top the temp was 47-C
I added 200ml water (electrolyte) to bring the water to 1/2â€
