Ok here is whats so weird about the hole in the bubbler. Look at the bulge pattern created around the octagonal shaped hole. the bottle had a flat bottom. This was the thickest part of the plastic bottle. The bottle was about 90% full of distilled water.There was a very small gas chamber in the top of the bottle.Shouldn't the explosion have been at the top of the bubbler instead of only damaging the bottom ? Also the tubing to the intake is 3/8 inch ID, so the gas in the bubbler wasn't tightly restricted. The Bang of the "explosion" sounded like a POP rather than a Bang. Reckon the Bang could have created a shock wave in the water that punched the hole? Another thing of interest, I stopped immediately to check for damage, and there was not one drop of water anywhere around the blown bottle. AH well one of life's little mystery's.
