Jebus,
You may have noted that I have NOT e-mailed you. I choose this because I choose to avoid sources of negativity. I try not to bash, I try to teach what I have learned, and I try to keep learning. there have been many times in my life when I have been wrong, and hadn't a clue until it was shown to me as such.
We may all be in the wrong frame of mind here dealing with hydrogen, but until we get shown otherwise, we may never know.
So in that, You can e-mail me if you wish, and I have the responsibility to respond appropriately, or ignore it. Responsibility is a combination of 2 words: Response and Ability. meaning the ABILITY TO RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO A SITUATION.
Likewise, I have looked over someone else's project here, and I think It deserves a great amount of further research and credibility. he is aiming at less than 1 volt to produce a slurry of hydrogen bubbles in water. this is great. and this thread is now so incredibly long it isn't funny.
Thrival has some good notes in his project folder that, if combined with another's project mentioned here, that may yeild some good results. and while I am not into stomping on other's intellectual rights, there may be a possiblity for a co-existance of 2 separate peices of technology to work together to get the job done.
as for an excellent Mosfet Switching Regulator, I found a set of 9 units inside a NETFRAME 450 SERIES Server unit. these mosfet units take 300 volts input at 5 amps DC, and put out on the 12 volt ones: 12 volts 5 amps, and on the 5 volt ones: 5 volts 8 amps. they are unique in that they mirror a pulsewidth of input UP TO 300 VOLTS, and output a regulated voltage in an exacting mirror output of the input frequency. so basically there is 300 VOLTS DC input, and then on the other 2 leads on the same end of the unit, a frequency of low power is put in. the circuits regulate the power flow, and mirror the frequency generator inputs exactly. so bottom line: DC INPUT, WAVEFORM INPUT SEPARATE FROM DC POWER, and then DC OUPUT-REGULATED and MODULATED TO MATCH THE INPUT FREQUENCY.
I don't know the availability of old NETFRAME server units for scrap, as this was controlled with a 486 DX 100MHz processor, and not very fast. it had a quantity of sixteen, 10 gigabyte harddrives. all SCSI data leads.
so any use of a module of this type could be used in experiments here might yeild some interesting results.
