Oh and to power this series cell unit , 19 Cells , takes 34.9 V, 5.4 A , 72
L/Hr , 2.6 Wh/L...
or
36.14 V , 11.5 A , 151.9 L/Hr , 2.7 Wh/L...but i think this was with contaminated
electrolyte. The more than 2.5 L / min was fun to see, but we will do far better than
this.

I do live on the east cost. My name is Jake. I have been lurking around for a while now, lots of reading and researching. The project pages are excellent!! Thanks Chris.

I have almost finished building a single cell. I was going to do more research and reading before I started building anything due to the high cost of good stainless cut to size. Things changed as I came across a cheap source of stainless. I found some butchers cleavers for $2 AUD each and figured I couldn’t go wrong using them to make a simple single/booster type cell (a steaming behemoth as Bob would put it.) The plates/blades attract a magnet which I’ve read is bad and after doing a quick (15mins) run in a weak NaOH/tap water solution I pulled the plates out to find them pitted and stained. I still plan on completing construction of the cell as I want some hydroxy to play/experiment with before I get around to building a real electroliser. It could possibly make it into my car as a booster if it holds up ok in some tests.

Ok, nice desires.
I could give you one plan to consider.
The first Usefull unit would be a hydrobooster.
This requires 8 Plates and it would be nice to start with
150mm x 150mm but not crucial. You can check at local
scrap merchants, just to get some offcuts. For a first unit
even 304 stainless would be a start, of course its better to go
with 316 but thats more money.
Use the construction technique from my Kevin . . KWW 15 Plate
Project. Its a cheap easy system, but ends up far better if you box
it in Perspex. This does require the use of a band saw and some
perspex and MEK solvent. Or at least a hacksaw and a vice.
