Here you can see the wooden part and the peg that will go into the hole in the last picture. I considered poking 3 small holes in the bottom of my bucket to firmly secure it to the wood, but I think I should be able to get it pressed on to the wood well enough that I don't need to screw it fast.

Checking the height of my wood and inner bucket to be sure that the foundry will fit down into the opening with a bit of room to spare at the top.

Height appears to be perfect. I have an inch or so at the top left over.

Here is the wooden form, inserted into the centering hole.

Now the inner bucket on top of the wood. hmmm should I screw it fast.... naaa!

The tops line up nearly perfect. It should be a good match for the refractory to fill up to the very top.
