Hydrogen in a vacuum?

I have been wondering if anyone has tried to run their generators in a vacuum? I am currently building a stan meyer device using the diagram that incorporates the adjusting pots and the pot hooked up to the gas pedal for varied gas output.

It should be completed in 1 more day(electronic circuit) I bought a 10 ft section of clear 4" pvc for visual output. I also bought a hydrogen (acetylene) backflash preventer. Man, $200.00 just for that. I Also roll formed 26 ga, 304 ss with a 1 mill gap. Made the ss about 8 inches high with a 2.5" dia.to start out as the first test. I Also bought a digitronix 2465 scope.

I do not know, but was thinking about using a pump that would put the generator in a vacuum and at the same time pressurize the gas (Browns gas supposedly) going into the manifold/carb. If anyone could put some input on this I would appreciate it so much. Does anyone think this could increase production? I am also concerned about static electricity causing problems in the generator. Would it be advantageous to put a ground rod through the top of the generator and seal it off and connect it to ground?

The pump idea has been used by others outside this forum with good success for increasing hydroxy production but you will also increase the water vapor in your production.

I would still recommend runnning your hydroxy through a bubbler before going into the engine.

Your acetylene flashback arrestor may not work with hydroxy gas.

I have not heard of problems with static electricity in the cell.

Thanks for your reply Bemec, It does say on the side of the arrestor also for hydrogen, I do know that that gas is also mixed with oxygen. Is that why it may not work?

I do not remember exactly, but a quick search on google will take you there ..

A spark arrestor for H2 would be a tube with a tiny hole in it, like 1/16", that's what I don't remember exactly, on this forum someone may have posted something about it in the past ..

Well, anyways, you need that bore and some steel wool around the hole .. I've read that this has a catalyst effect on the flame and the flame shouldn't come back to the source, well, that's what I've read, I didn't try it .

Use a bubbler + the spark arrestor ...

An arrestor that is specifically marked for H2 use should be perfectly fine. They are rare and as you found out expensive.

Here, these burner ports would have a 0.0225 inch (0.057 cm) diameter or less, which is the minimum quenching diameter.

The stainless steel whool is used to reduced NOx Emissions .. which are harmful and they are greatly diminished when the SS wool is used.
