Well, there is the truth and then there is the TRUTH, i´m reffering to the text about hydroxid production and well, it´s a half truth. But lets leav that for now.
4 tanks will get you some 350 miles (4/350 = 87.6 miles per tank) in a corvet, that´s not so bad and we can do a calculation on how much hydrogen (kg) this is, then we have the big question - whats the price? they didn´t say, so will need to wait for that.
What i think is BS is that diesel engines can not run on hydrogen, this is not true. Diesel engines can run on hydrogen and it is probably a better solution than gasolin. The diesel has 47- 52% efficiency and the gasolin has some 21-23% and becaus of the compresion ration (diesel) and we know that diesel is not mixed whit the ambient air, so therefor the compresion ratio they where reffing to (9,5 to 1) is no problem!
If anyone disagree on this, just head over to my account on scribd and look for 2 documents called: Differens in diesel & gasolin engines AND Diesel fundamentals, two great documents!
