thanks for the help guys,

as far as an update on my work well, the longer i run the cell the better it gets.
i removed it from the car to yet again re do all the fittings from exsesive heat, and thankfully last time i tore it apart i coated the + lead wire with some gasket maker to keep the copper from disapearing.

I have since built another unit out of 304 ss mesh but i havent yet tested it

Looking in, have you run your galvanized pipe setup for a while??
after its run for about a day or two it wont hold a charge anymore,
at least thats what mine did

You will find the Mesh Heaps better than the Galvanised stuff.
Is there some way of having only Two volts across the Mesh????
[ yes - 1 way is to have six separate containers....]
My Mate did this and It Was Really Good.

After running for 10 days and rinsing 5 times. It still measured a small voltage output. Now all the zinc is gone and no electroplating is taking place. Production is low.

or my multi meter is a piece of junk!

I have always had an intrest in electricity mostly in the "how' and "why"
Now dont think im some electronic guru that knows why a LED does what it does, because im still learning.

Ive learned alot from reading posts on this site and others
and i thank each and every one of you guys sharing what you know about all things in ou power. it has helped me in my "reaserch" with water and electricity.

The only BAD IDEA ive seen on this or any site are those who think that the nobies cant contribute, it just might be somrone like me or someone else who dabbles in this who makes the next great breakthrough...
so to those who have created their own site to keep others out i hope you the best, just dont let money drive what you do....do it for the world you leave to your children and grandchildren...

And remember if you can imagine it it can be done.
And the answer your looking for is so much simpler than you think.

yes i have

between the mesh and 316 ss plates that are sanded the mesh works better in brute force

now i just need to find a good antifreeze lol.....
