I've got a bunch of computer monitors that I'm scavenging parts from. There's a lot of bare copper wire in there. Actually I have a question about that. Some of the wire looks just like plain copper wire. Some of the other wire that is wrapped around a core made of two solids shaped like a bell is an off copper color, like its sort of reddish. Does any one know what the deal is with this wiring in computer monitors?
