I would love if someone can find an old battery charger schematic,,, it would be even better if someone owned one that could post pictures..
they seem to be discontinued, they don't even sell them here, it's all digital now.

Check the Harbor Freight Tools website to see if they still carry any of the old style battery chargers. Many of the trickle chargers are still of that variety.
Essentially a transformer and a diode rectifier.
Very easy to make.
The ammeter would be the most expensive part.
