??EASY Frequency Generator????

Postby Dan Dan » Wed Jan 18, 2006 1:20 am

OK...I dont mean to sound inpolite, rude, or stupid in posting this, but does anyone have any good designes that work, for an easy to assimble, cheap (under $100) and widly adjustible frequency generator. I would prefer it to be a squar wave form, but whatever works. I would like it to be adjustable between the frequencies of 100hz to 500khz (at least). I know im asking alot, but i get a feeling that there are others asking the same thing (or close to it). I have seen Bob boyce's design, and find it interusting, but i still am clueless as to how to make it, or even what it does. i know the general idea of what it does, but am unsure if it is what im looking for. I am not trying to insult Bob in any way, in fact i thank him, for making his work avalible to others, its just that i dont understand how to assimble it. And i realize that as some people are reading this there thinking "dan dan, how can it be anymore simpler"? but the answer to them is that im about as skilled at electronics as a mouse is at killing a lion. .It would also be a big help if anyone has any plans or diagrams for converting/using existing equitment to generate a variable frequency. Either way, i just would like a way to generate a frequency in hopes of testing and playing around with the efficiencies of using frequency, rather than strait DC.

also something like this would be sweet to own, but i do not have an ebay account, and dont own a credit card :D .

http://cgi.ebay.com/ATO-Programmable-Pu ... dZViewItem

but i couldnt find a store anywhere else on the net that sell such a thing.

Thanks to all.

I know this has been said many times before, but the queston keeps on comming up again.

By far the cheapest signal generator is a freeware application running on your pc. Most will have the ability to export a signal to a .wav file, which can burnt to CD if you want a more mobile solution.

Or if you have a laptop, then take the signal direct from the sound card.

Personally, I am planning on using my PDA as a signal generator source, which is very portable. Software i'm using is Virtins Pocket Instrument. It lets you use various different waveforms, and can output multiple (up to 10 i think) different waveforms / frequencies at the same time.

if your using an audio generator based device (pda / pc / wav file on cd via car stereo etc)

then all you need to do is work out how much power (Watts) you want to use and buy an audio amplifier rated higher than that

audio amp has all the fets/diodes and bits u need :)

so adam.....you saying that all i need to do to generate an ELECTRICAL frequancy is to downlaod the softwary onto my device (computer, PDA, ect..) and run it through an aplifier, adjust the amps and stuff, and run the wires straight to my electrodes?

I would like to test both appliying frequencies straight to the electrodes, and applying the frequencies with a speaker, so that the water literaly vibrates.

it'd be nice if it was nice and simple. like above. :D

Dan dan:

Excuse my jumping in but it's easier than that. See:

+______m___lllllllll_______GND

+ is the positive post of your battery
m is a transistor
llllllll are your cell plates
GND is ground (car frame)

The center post of your m (transistor base) is where you hook your
frequency input. It turns the transistor on & off, allowing current
to flow from battery, thru your cells, to ground, at whatever
frequency you impose. Presume your battery is 12 V and you lose
almost 2V across the transistor. You need 1.25V per cell for a
maximum 8 cells. You can add a step-up transformer for higher V if
you care to run more cells and/or a speaker coil. It's a little more
complex, but not much.

Takes a bit more than applying only DC pulses directly to the plates. This is where all those that try pulsed DC keep getting it wrong and have no results. I suggest reading the information in the Puharich patent. It goes into detail how the energy is applied to the cells.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Applying only pulsed DC of any frequency(s) is like trying to broadcast music without a radio transmitter. In other words, without a radio carrier to convey the music, there is no broadcast.

I have already mentioned in the past that a transformer was used to connect the output of the generator/driver unit to the cells. I suggest a toroidal transformer of equal or greater power handling capacity than you expect to input.

Bob...

im sorda getting confused...i know that i need to add a transformer to the pulse generator...but what does that transformer do? couldnt find how Puharich applied frequency to the cells (?) although i did find some pattents.

what do you need to add to this http://www.phy.syr.edu/courses/K-12/555%20workshop.pdf frequency generator?

if you need to email me any info, im at dandude102 AT yahoo DOT com

thanks...

Resonant frequency.

Postby spacifique1 » Wed Feb 15, 2006 4:14 am

Hi. If you`re looking at experiencing with frequencies on water molecules, I can modestly tell you that the resonant frequency of water is 2450MHz. You will achieve the highest efficiency at that frequency... Happy experiencing.
