torch

Postby okumaguru » Fri Aug 01, 2008 9:36 am

I have been trying to make a small torch just for shits and grins. I tried to use one of my wife's discarded "bietta" needles but the HHO wouldn't go through it.
Has anyone ever experimented with different diameters to find out what the smallest you could get by with??
My first attempt had an approximately .020" hole through it but it melted. I"m pretty sure I have insufficient pressure or volume to support anything larger than that. I can keep a small flame but I think it is possibly moving into the end of the needle therefore causing it to melt.
Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tim
