Hi AlaskaStar,

Thank you for some info on carburetor adjustment. Yes, I can find many source of info on how to lean fuel for fuel injection engine with O2 sensors but almost none for carburetor cars.

I'm using as my test car. I need to test as much as possible on carburetored car (old car) to find alternative ways to reduce fuel like using hydroxy, fuel vapor, water injection and others. Less to worry if something happens to this car as it meant for experiment.

yes you can adjust the air knob, but leave it alone while you adjust the fuel mix.

after you adjust the fuel mix you can fine tune it with the air knob.

and of course clock wise=lean ccwise=rich.

and yes it will take some time to get it right where you want it
but remember try not to make it too lean because it can cause more problems than its worth. like oerheating, melting exaust gaskets...ect
and take it for a short test drive after you do the adjustment and TAKE TOOLS WITH YOU!!! you will need them!! and dont get to far from home, around the block will do.
you can also adjust the timing if it seems to run rough after leaning the fuel out, but thats another ball of wax..
my experience comes from working on old chevy cars and trucks
V8 and 4 bangers
but all carbs work the same no matter what name is on them.

make your own moonshine....you and your car can run on it :lol:

and shine isnt hard to make
and its cheaper than gas
ive used it to get me home a time or two.....but i drank more than the car...lol

Thanks for more tips again. Ok, I follow your guideline and will try to test by this weekend. Well, my country (Malaysia) currently having General Election and voting date is set on Saturday. Hopefully, this doesn't interupt my testing during weekends if not got to postpone to next weekend.

? What about cost of making one litre of Moonshine?

thats easy

get 2 bottles one big one small, the big one is the still and the small one is the bubbler...baisicly its ethenol what they put in gas anyway.

in the big bottle add water, sugar, grain or corn or bananas or whatever flavor you want...thats the fun part... and a little yeast.
make sure the big bottle is completely full.
put an airtight plug in the top of the big bottle with a small tube coming out for the bubbler..
full the bubbler with water and put the tube from the big bottle in...
and just wait, the longer you let it sit the stronger it is.
after a month or two strain the grain or corn or whaterver you put in and do a flamability test....a small drop on a concrete floor....away from the big bottle!!! and light it, if it holds a flame it might be strong enugh.
and exact recipies can be found online.
id give you mine but its a family secret
