No one ever died of a 'normal' fever and that can get your internals heated up several degrees too.
Besides, the first thing to heat up, would be the skin and the layer of fat underneath the skin, by then the waves are very much weakened.
There are ongoing discussions on the possibility of getting cancer by radio-waves.
Maybe that is more the case, a rapid evolving form of cancer or something like that.
It is said that pulsating radio waves are much more dangerous then a normal sine wave radio signal, like broadcast.
But with the new digital transmitting technologie's coming up, chances increase of getting in trouble.
Now they even using burst packets to send, so the hype on wether it's dangerous or not can start all over again, while the previous discussions didn't even get a conclusive answer yet.
With cell phone's it is said that it can damage the brain, because it's very close to the skin, it has little protection from waves.
Maybe Stan did have his own invention to blame, but not just because of the heat...
It is however a good point on the mistery around it, no one knows what happend.
