Your idea sounds like it could work. If it does work I think the amount of pipe you would need to seperate the gasses beyond say a 5:1 ratio would be huge.
Wouldn't you need almost complete seperation if you plan on pressuriseing and storing the gas?
Maybe it would be easier to have the gasses already seperated by building a more traditional hoffman stlye electrolyser.
Of course this sort of design throws any chances of over unity gas production out the window.
