Another thing I was thinking of was have a mini-gun design with multiple barrels and cap banks for each. Or having multiple cap banks for the one coil in a single barrel design but only use one bak at a time.

i just did the math, 30 120uF Caps in parallel is 196 Joules!
also working on an idea, a solenoid-actuated optically fired multistage coil gun. using a revolver-like mechanism, a solenoid with a non-ferrous tip accelerates projectile towards and into barrel, where a break-beam apparatus automatically energizes the coil.

I think they might have an article on coil guns too.
Why are you gonna need a multiplier anyway? The charging circuits in the cameras will go to the right voltage of the caps anyway. Or are you gonna wire the caps in series for a higher voltage with a smaller capacitance for a quicker recharge time?
