Booster is homemade water filter canister, w. stainless althread anode and stainless screen on althread cathode, sulphuric electrolite, initially diluted to pass 8 amps@12 volts. The hydro flow is regulated by a 1/4" ball valve (closed at idle) attached to the carb throttle and directed into vacuum port of intake.
It doesn't get hot because the current used is probably little, the current just passes through on it's way to power ignition and I find nothing unsafe about this. I suppose if you use an electrolizer that needs lots of current, then the ignition system would limit how much current passes. Then maybe run through headlights? This just makes more sense than blowing a lot of juice through the cell and back to the battery. It's a dead short, no?
Of course what I am doing in not in the same catagory as people like Bob Boyce, so these rules may not apply to those like him who have very effiecient systems.
