
They all have a small magnetically-coupled pump and it's safe at least up to 100 C.
In addiion to tha the pump parts are made of very tough (and usually clear) plastic - so it won't react wih anything much.
They typically run off 12 V DC and can work from about 3 V on upwards.
I think they are excellent.
Those water pots are binned due to the thermal fuse blowing, circuit-board corrosion/deterioration or he seals leaking more than anything else, but the actual parts like the pump and the heater last forever.Statistics: Posted by mael — Thu Jul 09, 2009 1:40 pm
