just on visual estimation,
setup was 3 AA batteries in series thru 22ga SS wire into approx90%H20/10%NaOH timed for 30 seconds...
order of test (Ti, Ni, 304SS, 316L-SS)
Nickel seemed to work the best, bigger bubbles in with the small ones and more agitated action.
316L stainless was a bit more agitated than 304... got better as electrodes were moved closer together.
304 stainless was good, more uniform bubble size.
titanium...nothing @cathode or anode (not sure of the exact metal content, found the test pieces in a scrap bin marked "Titanium", my only verification was when i cleaned the pieces in the glass bead blasting machine [Ti gives off blue sparks])
Given the cost of Nickel vs. 316L-SS ($13.24/lb vs $2.37/lb)
I think I will stick with 316L for further experimentation.
