HI KYLE I WORKED AS AN ENGINEER IN A WORLD CLASS HOSPITAL( NORTH SHORE/ LIJ ) ON LONG ISLAND. IN THEIR DIALISIS UNIT THEY USE RO / DEIONIZATION FOR PATIENT WATER. THE LAST STEP IN PRODUCING THE WATER IS TO PASS IT THROUGH AN ULTRAVIOLET STERILIZER. RO DOESN,T GET EVERYTHING. HAVE A GREAT DAY BOBBYR

I built one of those UV sterilizers. I took a cheap red toolbox, mounted a small flourescent fixture in the lid, added a switch that turns on power when the lid id closed, and installed a UV germicidal lamp tube. This was back when you could buy germicidal lamp tubes without going through miles of red tape. It makes ozone when running, sterilizes any gas or liquid flowing through the clear tubing coiled inside, and used to come in real handy for erasing EPROMs back in the days when they were real popular.

HI GUYS... YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY THOSE STERILIZERS AT HOME DEPOT. THEY ARE SELLING THEM TO PUT IN THE DISCHARGE SIDE OF YOUR AC UNIT TO KILL MOLD SPORES IN THE HOUSE. AND KEVIN.. YES OZONE IS PRETTY GOOD AT STERILIZING H2O. IT WILL ALSO MAKE YOUR HOUSE SMELL CRISP & CLEAN. THEY USE THEM IN HOSPITALS ETC FOR ODOR CONTROL . HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL..... BOBBYR
