hope you dont have to go back to that previous employer - from what I gathered
it was not very nice to you at the end last time.
Read Looking In ' s comments about earning money.
Use your head and look for some thing that needs your skills.
[I know its easier to say than do ].
Ask around every one that you know. Then ask nice people that you dont know.
I wish you luck with your work search... dont give in.

I cant remember what things you tried - but maybe going back to basics
and cleaning every thing out and checking dry may show something.
