I was reading...
And they were talking about why Stainless steel was in fact "stainless." They had said that it was because of the oxide form of Chromium. They said that the oxide form was a lager molecule than that of a single chromium atom.
My question then is...
What happens with this oxide layer when electrolysis if preformed with NaOH and KOH? Does anything happen to it or does it split or some other odd thing?
