oh yeah i was just trying to do some calculations and if i was using the entire mixture i thought i might have been able to get a way with less power but i ended up saying it didn't matter because if i didn't use the O2 produced i would just get it from the air.

This may help with the timing question. I used to build race engines. Some of those engines would run on alcohol which burns slower and more evenly than gasoline. It's also harder to ignite. Because of this, we had to advance the timing considerably. I shouls also mention that these things had a different air intake set up. They needed a lot more air. If your going to try messing with the timing for Hydrogen, you're going to need to retard the timing. It may actually make a difference. If you have an older car, all you need is a timing light and a wrench. If you have a newer car, you need an ignition module. You can get them from a summit magazine. Once you get your hands on one of those its just a matter of plugging it in and turning a dial. Hope this info helps.

All I need is enough to take the edge off at the gas pump. I spent $82.00 last Friday filling up, & $50.00 today. Yeah, it sucks. I'm planning a booster but it'll be some time before I can build it.

I'm not the one to answer what forms of hydrogen those other methods produce. My main expertise is in the electrolysis end of things.

As for perfecting hydroxy generation, I don't think we have to wait for perfection. We have designs right now that work efficiently and reliably.

The major stumbling block has been cost. Materials and machining are expensive, so the search goes on for good reproduceable designs at the least expense to build.

Chris has been striving to accomplish that goal. He has to balance work, raising a family, working on this site, and the many other things in life that require our time, and yet still find time to work on the project when he can.
