I was actually talking about just a simple pump to circulate the water in your electrolyzer. I used a tiny pump from allelectronics that was used for a windshield washer sprayer in a car, which unfortunatly they know longer sell. Just having a flow of water over the plates made a huge improvement in gas production. Also, i would recomend trying to design your electrolyzer so that the water is moving upwards across your plates, so that they are pulling the bubbles up and off.
Finally, on a unrelated note if anyone is looking for a good unit to make an electrolyzer let me suggest waterproof conduit boxes. The one i had was about 6x6x4 and was made from 1/8" PVC. the lid was fully sealed and the unit was able to maintain a fair bit of pressure without leaking. Im not entirly sure what the one i used was designed for, seeing as it had no punchouts or connector ports of any kind, not to mention i pulled it from a dumpster. But a drill and tap solved that problem. The annoying thing about it was that i got backflash once and the lid just shattered and sprayed some nasty water everywhere. that was fun to clean up....
