you took a good idea and tried it. this is what science is all about!
now if you are getting more O2....then where did the H go? what did it combine with? is there more HydroCarbons coming out of the converter? did the H catalize with any C to make hydrocarbons? if so, then was it re-catalized to make H20 and C02 with some CO?
sometimes a collage will let you try this out. the local federal test station here...the folks there are especially curious. and they will unofficially allow testing of unique ideas to reduce pollution. first thing first. don't be nasty. they actually save you money by having an I/M program. if your car passes squeaky clean, then it is running at the optimal. if your mileage stinks, and no check engine light on, then chances are that something is wrong, and they can find it. when found and fixed, your mileage will go up, resulting in savings for you. go and ask one of them. talk to them, exlain what you are doing, and try to get feedback, most of it will probably be why it will not work, and some of it may be a way to make it work, or another route to try.
if you never ask, then you never know.
congrats on trying. that is a step beyond what a lot of people do. this site doesn't allow video on the projects page or i would post video here.
anyway, i'll be "off the map" for a few weeks here and i won't even be near a computer. i won't even be in Alaska. when i return, you will know.
