basically ive recently been building some electolysers in my garage, with intention of eventually running a postie bike on hydroxy. ive been experimenting with the spacing between each electrode, with varying results. i was wondering if any one has messed around with this and if so found any ideal gap.
i thought i found that aprox 1.1 mm was ideal as most of the resistance of the cells is in the passing of current through the water. so if u reduce the disatnce needed to travel through high resisastnce u are doin a good thing. bearing in mind the gap must also be large enough to allow the bubbles to flow and not get jammmed. and thats how i arrived at aprox. 1.1mm or aprox.1/24"
but i havent established a setup conducive to precise production monitoring and therefore cant be sure.
oh yeah im using the standard technique of using stainless sheet (5"x6")Statistics: Posted by jonjon — Thu Nov 24, 2005 12:04 am
