You'd use the 55 amps by bypassing the battery. Probably enough current to test most generators? Not sure it it would do 55 amps and 6 V.
With the 10 amps...you'd need to use this thru a battery...cause in this setting the charger will not take a load unless connected to a battery. You'd be limited to 10 amps.
When I was using a 6 amp charger and a deep cycle....even when fully charged at start...after an hour or so the charger started reading above 6 amps when the cell was drawing 6 amps or better. Voltage started to drop at this amp level.
