You mentioned having a 150Kw generator as being useful. I may be retireing in a few years, and I'm contemplating moving to some rural property in order to be able to afford some land, and I also think it would be handy to have a large generator. There are sites that show how to take a large used electric motor and convert it to being a generator, at a significant cost savings.
Any small used car engine could run it, but whether it is a gasoline or a diesel engine, I really believe I can now replace half the fuel (hopefully more!) with Hydroxy gas produced by a second alternator and a series cell. For this I am very grateful to this website, and Chris, Bob, and AlaskaStar.
I also want to produce pure H2 and compress it into an old propane tank to use like natural gas for cooking. I think I'm going to try using a home-made windmill with a "disc brake" alternator.
You sound like you want somebody to "spell it out" for you and prove it works. I can't speak for anybody else, but here in the US if you want to brew home-made ethanol as an alternative fuel or a beverage, you need a federal license, which they WILL NOT give you. If you are caught making ethanol, you will be arrested and fined. Getting caught putting red "untaxed" diesel fuel in a road-registered vehicle will cost you thousands of dollars and put your name on a "watch list".
Getting in-between a politician and his tax money over here will eventually end up getting ugly. This is sad, because Benz, Ford, Edison, and many others started by experimenting in their garage. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it seems any major innovations from global corporations are instantly patented, and are then "spoon-fed" to us just enough to keep everyone from rioting, and never enough to really make a difference. -RonStatistics: Posted by spinning-magnets — Sun Jun 10, 2007 2:35 am
