As for perfecting hydroxy generation, I don't think we have to wait for perfection. We have designs right now that work efficiently and reliably.
The major stumbling block has been cost. Materials and machining are expensive, so the search goes on for good reproduceable designs at the least expense to build.
Chris has been striving to accomplish that goal. He has to balance work, raising a family, working on this site, and the many other things in life that require our time, and yet still find time to work on the project when he can.
