Project Description:
Note:  This is a design based mostly on Chris' newest.  I have changed a few dimensions based on materials that I had available, but for the most part it is the same.  (I had 10' of 4" PVC, so I used it hoping I could get about 7 units out of it.  This is also what determined my length  :-) )

The following are pics of my plate arrangement.  Everything I used is SS 304.  I figure this should be good for a very long time, especially for testing.  After testing, if it looks like I will need SS 316, I see no problem changing over with the same designs.  This uses 3/8" SS threaded rod cut down.  I couldn't get any machine nuts (the really thin nuts) which is what I really wanted for my spacers, so I used 3 thick washers between them.  In the centre, I again couldn't find an 3/8" nylon threaded rod, so I used a 1/4" nylon bolt.  The nylon washers make the plates about 3/32" apart.  I know, it's not quite the 1/8" but it's a lot easier to use than weed wacker line.  Though I do have some for later experiments possibly.  I made the threaded rod purposely long as to make sure that it would reach the very edge of my pvc container while not having the plates touch.  Also, if I need to add more plates (or remove some) I can easily do so, as I can adjust where the plates sit on the rod, unlike a bolt.
