Project Description:
to maintain a close electrode space / gap and not get clogged by gas i developed the following:
knurled finish on surface to give ejection points for electrons, spiral grooves to draw and chimney the gas up and away from contact face area. with the base of the cell restricting free electrolyte flow the rise from the gas produces 2" of vacuum within the cell. In reality the major concentration of electrical charge is on the edge of the grooves, this being a larger edge than the points on the knurles. the top of the cell is a cone that forces the gas to combine into large bubbles and not fog the cell. when the H2 was tested the resultant noise from the combustion appeared to be louder than normal. this not being actualy proven, but i would guess that the H2 gas being held within a voltage zone may be making it H1 and not H2.
