9/3/09. First tank with funnel shape to filter large debris. All tanks can be easily opened for cleaning. And all tanks have a drain in the bottom, as water can form.

9/3/09.
From left to right-
Wood gasifier- Hopper on top is used for adding small pieces of wood to, which is heated by a small fire in the bottom. The heat from the fire causes the wood above to sweat out combustable gases (hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane)
Second tank- a large upsice down funnel shape is used to filter out the larger debris.
Third tank- filled with hay to filter ash.
Car radiator- to cool the hot gases, fans usage is optional.
Box on upper right of radiator- car air filter, to scrub gases for the engine. Dust and ash going into an engine will damage it very fast.

9/3/09. Tanks attach with easy to remove pipe unions.
The big hopper on the gasifier was used because I plan to use mac nut shells as fuel. They are like marbles, and rock hard. I figure they will roll in. This hopper may not be good using square or rough wood.

9/3/09. This design is unique. I have never seen a gasifier that used propane tanks, pipe unions, and a car radiator.

9/3/09. This is an alignment mark. This should be put on first before cutting, to ease alignment.
