6' sch 40 PVC. This photo shows my container,I cut 1" off the top 6" cap so I could keep unit 8" tall ,assembled height. Notice the groove cut around the top of the pipe? This is for O-ring seal so I do not have to glue the top cap to my canister. And, a 6" PVC cap is cheaper than a 6" clean-out (threaded cap).
