Power cabinet bottom left. I'm wondering if the two relays (top center of picture) are the control that the switch enables to change the motor from forward to reverse? I ask this because my reverse is not working on the mill at this time.

Power cabinet bottom right. That's one big freegin capacitor. Much of this stuff is from the 80's so it can probably all be replaced by components 1/10th the size or even smaller. I'm looking at ripping out the controller portion of this CNC and using EMC (http://www.linuxcnc.org/) in it's place. That's a completely FREE computer controlled CNC program. Beautiful functionality all updated with the latest enhancements and CNC improvements. This CNC will be able to do things with EMC that it could never even dream of doing before. VIC-20 era computer being updated to the year 2010 standards.

If my servo drives (if they are servo drives) will work with EMC that would save me the expense of buying new ones because they appear to be fine; it's just the parts driving them that appear to be in need of replacement.

Full power cabinet shot.

Back side of the mill. WTF is this for? I would say it was forward/reverse; in fact I thought it was until I saw 110v on some items in here. I'm baffled at what this does? There's a little magnetic switch that flips back and forth in there between the left (relay?) and the right one.

better pic of it with a flash
