starting to bend the pvc pipe to form prototype header tubes. when finished will remove & give to pipe shop to make bends in steel exhaust tubing.for ease of testing will bring header tubes over fender.the entire idea is to test out a steam generating system.if successful will build the " GREEN STEAM ENGINE" to use as to run a generator. this really is a hydrogen generating system prototype not a car exhaust project ha, ha.

just bending the pvc pipes

another shot of the bent pipes

just another shot showing an attempt to get the pipes roughly equal.

using pvc fittings to make the pipes a smoother template for the pipe bender. still a little tweeking  to do. after the pipes are replicated in steel they will be tack welded on the new header flanges & installed on the engine. after the final fitting i,ll take them off & cut open & install the exchanger coils. when all  this is done i,ll build a collector for the pipes. for anyone trying this remember the pipes don,t need to be equal length. make it easy on yourself. the exchamger coils can run into the collector. the important thing is to use the correct exchanger area necessary to get the amount of btu,s ( watts )you figure you will need.
