Top view of the same rod in hot (tap) water. Viewed full-screen, you should be able to distinguish some small white spots on the bar. Those are some of the larger (sub-millimeter) bubbles on the bar. Again, water isn't that colour, it's the walls colour being reflected onto the glass.


Just a shot of the measuring tape with a bar. This is more or less the average lenght, the bars differ in lenght by about 3mm (1/8", about) from the longest to the shortest. The darker blotches on the bar were there when I unwrapped them, marks left over from casting. They're on every bar, in lighter or darker shade than shown here.
