My little makeshift skimmer needs to be improved. I have the spoon only "Duct Taped" to the metal rod here. I do NOT advise that for anyone, as it may come off. I will weld or bolt my spoon on in a few days, for now I will be quick with it.

The moment of truth. This is my very first pour ever! I hope I don't do something wrong. My anxiety level is rather high right this moment.

I decided to try a pour into some sand with foam under the surface. It was a very quick and dirty "Lost Foam" process test. I later learned that you want it buried with about 3 - 4 inches of sand around all of the sides of your object, but oh well. :)

Well I survived that without incident. Let's see how I do on the ingots. Hmmmm I missed a little bit. I need to work on my aim. I think I'm going to try my other hand to lift next time.

Getting better :)
