another shot before she got modified......

shot showing sealing mechanism on lid and means to attach wires.

the whole apparatus. i soon realized that  that box sealed as well as tupperware with a hole in it, and brass fittings corrode very quickly and turn ugly black when exposed to electrolyte. my electrolyte of choice is KOH, potassium hydroxide, lye, caustic potash, etc. it has many names.

you can quite literally see the production being strongest (look at how far vertically the foam rises)  at the negative and positive, and dips in the middle. decent production from the neutral plates for not being electrically connected! not good enough for me though.

well, i got ahole of some plexiglass and a jigsaw. in an attempt to boost neutral plate production, i covered three of the four outer sides. the top side was where the bubbles escaped, so i couldnt seal that off!  i wanted to see how well it helped the plates produce. note the two extra holes, those were for the original two-bolt design. obviously there would be current leaks all over the top, and those two holes, but i figured, hey- if i can limit it, i can limit the wasted electricity!
